Please help us raise money for
Joey Pomykal’s stem cell treatment
In 2011, Yvonne’s World along with many friends, family and many others, we were able to raise $10,000 to get my friend, Joey Pomykal, a/k/a Capo whom I love very dearly, his stem cell treatment in Phoenix, AZ.
We’ll we’re ready to do it again. This time taking him back to China, where in 2009, Joey received treatment with incredible results. The cost to do this again is over $40,000 and we need all the help we can get.
When Joey was seven, he was diagnosed with a rare central nervous system disorder called ‘Friedreich’s Ataxia’. Friedreich’s Ataxia is a progressive disease that affects balance and coordination in the arms and legs; other symptoms include: serious heart condition, impairment of vision, impaired hearing, slurred speech, aggressive scoliosis and muscle weakness.

Joey has been confined to a wheelchair since he was eighteen years old; he is now twenty-eight. There is no cure for Friedreich’s Ataxia however stem cell therapy has proven to temporarily improve the symptoms of this devastating and life-shortening disease.
While we continue to wait for a cure, it is our hope to raise enough money to send Joey back to China for more treatments. Our first trip to China was in February 2009; the improvements from those treatments lasted 2 for years. There were amazing improvements in Joey’s speech, muscle control and strength, energy level, vision and his quality of life was renewed. With your generous donation, you can help make this happen for him again. Please help us give Joey a better life, make a donation today PLEASE. Every dollar makes a difference.
